Holiday Pop-Up Shops return to Midtown
The annual Holiday Pop-Up Shops, a rotating array of independent retailers, is returning to Midtown on Friday for its seventh season.
The temporary village, consisting of six heated geodesic domes surrounding a large Christmas tree and joined by an assortment of food trucks, will be located on the northeast corner of NW 10 and Hudson Avenue.
Retailers this year will total 35 local shops, changing from one week to the next, selling gifts ranging from clothing and accessories to home goods and children’s toys. Since 2013, the Holiday Pop-Ups Shops have provided a platform for independent shops to meet new customers and generate additional sales year-round.
Organizer Allison Bailey said last year’s event saw a significant increase in foot traffic and in sales for participating shops.
