There's still time to see Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Picasso and more at the OKCMOA
In a city that’s known for its love of visual arts, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art has a knack for bringing some of the absolute best into the metro. Sure enough, they’ve done it again through their newest exhibition, Van Gogh, Monet, Degas: The Mellon Collection of French Art from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
The exhibition features the French art collection of the Mellon family, which is normally housed in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (remember the Faberge exhibition that came through the OKCMOA a few years ago? That was from the VMFA, too!). Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Picasso, Manet and Rousseau are only some of the incredible artists whose work you can see in this extensive collection. OKC will have the opportunity to get a closer look at these works until Sep. 22.
This exhibition has quickly become a fan favorite, attracting more than 14,000 visitors within its first month on display. Tours and lectures about the exhibition have routinely sold out. Without a doubt, this blockbuster exhibition has been a highlight of OKC’s summer.
