OU Medicine and its academic partner, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, is the state’s only comprehensive academic health system. Leading healthcare, we treat the most complex conditions and offer preventive medicine and continuity of care. With more than 4,600 employees, we’re a network of hospitals, clinics and centers of excellence, serving the state and region with the widest range of specialty services. More than 1,000 dedicated employees have more than five years of service. OU Medicine includes 143 departments including non-clinical support services.
In its first year as a locally owned non-profit, OU Medicine positioned itself to define the future of healthcare for the benefit of Oklahomans. Slated for completion next year, the new OU Medical Center adult patient tower will occupy 456,000 square feet for strategic expansion of services.
In addition to the Stephenson Cancer Center, the state’s only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center, and Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, OU Medicine encompasses OU Physicians, more than 1,000 providers representing every medical specialty, and The Children’s Hospital, the state’s only freestanding hospital just for kids. Many of our providers have gained regional or national recognition for expertise and innovation. Many serve as OU College of Medicine faculty, ensuring exceptional medical education for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
