When did you move to and/or back to Oklahoma City? Where did you come from?

I moved from Chicago, Illinois on January 30 of this year. This is my second time in Oklahoma. I lived in Tulsa from 2010-2012. 

What has been the biggest surprise about OKC to you?

The biggest surprise has been its growth since I was last here in 2012. The energy downtown and the surrounding communities has pleasantly surprised me. The Omni Hotel build, the amphitheater, the convention center, and Chisholm Creek are all impressive developments. It’s a completely different city and I couldn’t be more excited to witness the next chapter of OKC. 

What is your favorite thing about living in OKC?

Besides the weather and the cost of living -- especially coming from Chicago -- it’s the people. People make the place anywhere you are and OKC has the most genuine, down to earth, happy people. I challenge you to find better culture than the folks right here in Oklahoma. 

What would you say to someone thinking about moving to OKC?

Throw out what you think you know about Oklahoma. Whether you’re looking for a place to launch a career, start a family, or just enjoy a nice lifestyle, this place can hang with any market in the US.
