Resident Spotlight
When did you move to Oklahoma City? Where did you come from?
I moved to Oklahoma City in August 2015 to attend college. I came from Fort Collins, Colorado.
What has been the biggest surprise about OKC to you?
The growth and similarity to my hometown back in Colorado. I love the “hole-in-the-wall” coffee shops, hipster restaurants and green scenery. The trees and parks are absolutely beautiful here and there is much more to do than I expected!
What is your favorite thing about living in OKC?
The people are SO friendly! Whether you reside in the city or county (which are not very far apart in OKC) you will always find southern hospitality. This will allow you to make connections and friends very quickly.
What would you say to someone thinking about moving to OKC?
I would tell them to give it a chance! The city is growing, young people are moving in, and new shops are opening up. I would also say that OKC will provide you the opportunity to grow because of the awesome job availability, cheap living and friendly people.
