When did you move to and/or back to Oklahoma City? Where did you come from?
I got married about eight months ago and decided to move with my husband to Oklahoma City about five months ago. I grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and it was really exciting moving to a new city.

I’ve been with Arvest bank for about 3 years. I’m the Assistant Branch Manager at the Capitol Hill Branch location.
What has been the biggest surprise about OKC to you?
My biggest surprise when I came to Oklahoma City was the culture. People are so kind and welcoming. I never expected to feel so welcomed when I first moved here but it has been a great experience. Oklahoma City has plenty of places to go to such as restaurants, lakes and parks. I have enjoyed my weekends discovering new places around Oklahoma City. My husband and I love going bike riding to Lake Hefner as well as tasting all the different restaurants on Bricktown. OKC has definitely been a surprise to me.
I always thought moving to a bigger city that it was going to be difficult for me to get around, but it has been easy. I currently live in Yukon, but it only takes less than 20 minutes to get downtown.
What is your favorite thing about living in OKC?
It has a small town feel with city-life attractions. Oklahoma City it’s a lot bigger than most people realize. I like the feeling of being able to discover new places and doing different activities.
