When did you move to and/or back to Oklahoma City? Where did you come from?

I moved to OKC in August 2018 from the DFW area in Texas.  I’ve lived in Texas my entire life, so this was my first move to a different state.

What has been the biggest surprise about OKC to you?

The friendliness of the people was surprising.  Everyone is so approachable and warm.  It’s a refreshing change from the lifestyle in Dallas. 

What is your favorite thing about living in OKC?

Honestly, the traffic is so much nicer.  My commutes in Dallas used to take 45 min to an hour.  Now, even living in the suburbs, I’m at work within 15-20 minutes.  It’s fantastic.

What would you say to someone thinking about moving to OKC?

OKC is not your typical city.  It’s slower paced and more inviting.  Everything’s a bit more spread out, but it works.  And there’s plenty to do. You’ll never be bored with water sports on the lakes, parks, museums and plenty of new dining options.
