When did you move to Oklahoma City? Where did you come from?
I moved to Oklahoma City to finish my undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma in 2000. While I moved directly from Austin, Texas, that does not tell my complete story. I moved quite a bit as a child and teenager. I’ve lived in four different cities in Virginia and two cities in Pennsylvania. I've also lived in Memphis and for a short time in Maryland. I even started college in Blacksburg at Virginia Tech. So, I am a strange hybrid between a Sooner and a Hokie – a Sookie, maybe?
What has been the biggest surprise about OKC to you?

Oklahoma City’s downtown revitalization has been a wonderful surprise. It's very exciting to witness and experience.
What is your favorite thing about living in OKC?
So many things! The Oklahoma Standard is alive and well. Additionally, the cost of living is great, and one of my favorite places in the world – the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge - is only an hour and a half down the road.
What would you say to someone thinking about moving to OKC?
Come for a visit and experience its vitality. I think you’ll be very impressed.
