Juneteenth on the East returns June 18-21, bringing four days of music, culture, art and community celebration to Oklahoma City's historic East End District.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free. Today, communities across the country honor the holiday through celebrations that recognize freedom, resilience and Black culture.
Produced by With Love OKC and local community leaders, including Jabee and the Oklahoma Mural Syndicate, Juneteenth on the East transforms NE 23rd Street into a community gathering space filled with local vendors, live entertainment, food and family activities.
