2026 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon returns this week, bringing thousands together for a powerful weekend of remembrance, resilience and community. What began as a tribute has grown into one of the most meaningful races in the country—honoring the lives lost on April 19, 1995, and celebrating the strength of a city that continues to move forward.
Often named a “must-run marathon,” this race offers more than just miles—it tells a story. Along the course, runners experience Oklahoma City in a deeply personal way, passing landmarks like the State Capitol, historic neighborhoods and the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The 168 banners placed along the route serve as a moving reminder of each life lost, giving every participant a reason to run.
Race weekend is designed for everyone—from first-time participants to seasoned athletes. Events kick off Saturday, April 25, with the 5K, Kids Marathon and Senior Marathon. On Sunday, April 26, runners take on the quarter, half and full marathon distances, filling the streets with energy, purpose and support from the community.
The excitement begins even earlier at the Health & Fitness Expo, held Friday and Saturday. This free event is the hub for race weekend, featuring packet pickup, vendor booths, interactive experiences and opportunities to connect with fellow runners. Attendees can also catch live programming, including appearances and insights from some of the sport’s most respected voices.
More than a race, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is a shared experience that brings people together from across the country to remember, reflect and run with purpose.
