The Cowboy: An Immersive Journey
January 2 – February 15, 2026 | National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
This bold new 360-degree immersive experience surrounds guests with the landscapes, stories and spirit of the American West. Larger-than-life projections, sweeping soundscapes and historic imagery bring the story of the cowboy to life in a cinematic, first-of-its-kind format.
Premiering exclusively in Oklahoma City, the experience takes visitors from the Great Plains and cattle drives to rodeo culture, Wild West shows and Hollywood, tracing how the cowboy became an American icon. The journey concludes with the modern West, featuring today’s ranchers, cowboys, cowgirls and rodeo athletes, narrated by Tom Selleck. Multiple 40-minute shows run daily, with separate ticketing and a VIP option available.
2026 Cattlemen’s Congress
January 5 – January 17, 2026 | Oklahoma State Fair Park
Cattlemen’s Congress is a premier stock show created by and for cattlemen and women, offering breeders from across North America a chance to showcase elite cattle genetics and connect with fellow beef producers in the heart of cattle country.
Since launching in 2021, the event has grown into one of the largest livestock gatherings of its kind, drawing thousands of exhibitors and producers to Oklahoma City and reinforcing the city’s role as a national hub for the beef industry.
Dance Party at Ponyboy
Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. | Ponyboy
Kick off the weekend with a late-night dance party at Ponyboy, one of Oklahoma City’s most eclectic nightlife spots. The weekly event features DJ-driven music, a high-energy crowd and a packed dance floor that leans fun, casual and unapologetically loud.
Hosted every Friday and Saturday night in the Uptown District, Ponyboy’s dance party is an easy option for a spontaneous night out or a reliable way to keep the weekend going.
