As the holiday season approaches, OKC Parks is rolling out a mix of family-friendly competitions, outdoor opportunities and free or low-cost activities for residents of all ages. The department continues to expand ways for the community to stay active, connect and enjoy the season.
Outdoor enthusiasts invited to reserve hunting blinds for waterfowl season
With Oklahoma’s 2025–26 waterfowl season underway, OKC Parks is again offering daily hunting blind rentals at Lake Stanley Draper and the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge. The department manages 48 blinds at Draper and 23 at Stinchcomb, all available for $5 per day and reservable up to seven days in advance.
The rental program provides hunters with affordable access to two of the metro’s most popular waterfowl destinations. Hunters must hold an Oklahoma state hunting license and a city waterfowl permit and follow regulations on blind setup and removal. More details on how to reserve a blind are available at okc.gov/hunting.
