Fossils and Ferns at Myriad Gardens
Step back in time at the Myriad Botanical Gardens’ Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Fossils and Ferns runs through Nov. 4 and features million-year-old fossils alongside living plants that predate the dinosaurs. The exhibit, located at 301 W. Reno Ave., is free and open daily.
“Around Town, OKC” at Howell Gallery
The Howell Gallery of Fine Art presents Around Town, OKC, a new exhibition of paintings by Oklahoma City native Mary Anna Goetz. The show highlights local landmarks like Scissortail Park, the Skydance Bridge and Bricktown. The exhibit opens Oct. 23 and runs through Nov. 15 at 6432 N. Western Ave. Admission is free.
Fourth Fridays in the West Village District
The West Village District wraps up its Fourth Fridays series Oct. 24 with live music, local vendors and family activities along Historic Film Row. The free event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and features performances by Johnathan Marshall and Blacktop Bloodline. Lee Avenue will close to traffic for this downtown street festival.
Friday Night Fire Show at OKANA
Catch a fiery performance at OKANA Resort’s Lagoon Amphitheater every Friday night through Oct. 31. Seating opens at 8 p.m., and the free fire show begins at 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to grab a spot and enjoy an evening on The Boardwalk at 639 First Americans Blvd.
Celebrate culture and tradition at the 2025 Oklahoma Folklife Festival, hosted by the Oklahoma Historical Society on Oct. 25. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive. Visitors can explore hands-on activities and performances highlighting Oklahoma’s diverse communities.
Celebrate a decade of Midtown Walkabout on Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fall event offers in-store specials, family activities and live entertainment throughout the Midtown District, 1100 Classen Drive. Visit midtownokc.com/walkabout for details.
Explore Oklahoma’s history at the 2025 Archives Bazaar on Oct. 25 at Science Museum Oklahoma, 2020 Remington Place. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., meet archivists, view rare artifacts and learn about the collections preserving the state’s past. The event is free with optional museum admission.
Bring the kids to the 11th annual Brick-or-Treat on Oct. 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Bricktown. Trick-or-treaters under 14 can collect candy from participating businesses while enjoying music, costumed characters and photo ops. Event maps are available at the information booth on Mickey Mantle Plaza.
Oklahoma Aura Costume Contest at Sailor & The Dock
Celebrate Halloween in style at Sailor & The Dock’s Oklahoma Aura Costume Contest on Oct. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. The first 20 guests receive free spooky mimosas. Come dressed to impress for a chance to win an aura reading and photo. The event is free at 617 W. Sheridan Ave.
