Summer’s not over yet, and Oklahoma City has plenty to keep your calendar full this week. From open-air farmers markets and outdoor concerts to high-speed thrills at the racetrack, something is happening almost every day. Here’s a quick look at what’s going on around town.
Eastside Fresh Market

Looking to stock up on local produce midweek? The Eastside Fresh Market runs every Tuesday evening through Oct. 28 at the Northeast Community Health and Wellness Center. Shoppers can find local fruits and vegetables, eggs, beef, bread and more.
It’s more than just a market—it’s a hub for fresh food access in northeast OKC and a platform for local farmers. The market also hosts free educational classes and family-friendly activities.
Wednesday Mid-Week Farmers Market at Scissortail Park

Wednesdays, May 7–Sept. 24 | 6 to 9 p.m. | Free
Spend your Wednesday evenings in the Lower Park at Scissortail. Located just south of I-40 near the Skydance Bridge, this farmers market features fresh local produce, Scissortail Park merchandise, and information on nutrition assistance programs.
Free parking is available along South Robinson, South Harvey, and SW 15th Street.
Live Horse Racing at Remington Park

Thursdays–Saturdays, Aug. 8–Dec. 20 | First race at 6 p.m. | Free
Thoroughbred racing is back at Remington Park. Races happen every Thursday through Saturday night, with additional Wednesdays starting Dec. 3. Special race dates include the Oklahoma Derby on Sept. 28 and Springboard Mile on Dec. 20.
Enjoy the action from Silks Restaurant on the Clubhouse level or Henry Hudson’s trackside. Guests must be 18 or older to wager or play casino games. Admission and parking are always free.
Wheeler District Farmers Market

Start your weekend with a visit to the Wheeler District Farmers Market. Every Friday evening, the plaza fills with local vendors offering a variety of produce, baked goods, pantry staples, and handmade items.
On the fourth Friday of each month, the market turns into a mini festival with extra vendors, live entertainment, and food trucks.
Summer Concert Series at Wheeler District

Mark your calendar for the third Friday of the month. This free summer concert series features live music, local foods, and drinks from The Big Friendly.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and the whole crew for a relaxed night of tunes and sunset views by the Ferris wheel.
Scissortail Rewind: Five for Fighting + Vertical Horizon

Scissortail Park hosts a night of early 2000s nostalgia with chart-toppers Five for Fighting and Vertical Horizon. The free outdoor show takes place at the Love’s Travel Stops Stage & Great Lawn.
Five for Fighting is best known for hits like “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” and “100 Years.” With a career span of over two decades, the band continues to deliver piano-driven rock music. A defining band of the late ‘90s and early 2000s alternative rock era, Vertical Horizon rose to fame with chart-topping hits such as “Everything You Want” and “Best I Ever Had.”
Bring a blanket, your favorite people, and settle in for a night of live music under the stars.
