As spring breathes new life into Oklahoma City, it’s the perfect time to explore the vibrant intersection of nature, art and wellness. From hands-on art classes at Oklahoma Contemporary to serene yoga sessions at OAK, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this season. Located on Broadway in Automobile Alley, Oklahoma Contemporary offers a variety of classes and programs for guests to choose from. Guests can attend Studio School, a program set up in four- and eight-week classes, and one and two-day workshops. The courses are offered in various types of media to let guests choose.
The spring sessions run from April 2 through June 2. Oklahoma Contemporary members receive 10% off.
Don’t forget about the kids! Oklahoma Contemporary has several programs specifically for the youth. Kids can participate in Camp Contemporary, the Learning Gallery, Art Garden located just outside the main building or participate in one of the school and teacher programs.
Known as the arts and creative district, the Paseo Arts and Creativity Center offers courses taught by studio artists, as well as local. Class types include painting, drawing, printmaking and more. Paseo Pottery is a popular option and open to all ages and levels. Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays at various times.
OAK Yoga Class – Serenity Saturdays
The new OAK development, located on NW Expressway, offers a complimentary yoga class. The class is held every Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Held inside the fitness center at the Residences at OAK, you are sure to feel relaxed and refreshed after the 60-minute class. Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve yours quickly!
This is one of the best spots in OKC in the spring, with tulips and bright colored flowers in full bloom. Myriad is always hosting and offering fun and unique events. Take a class on birdhouses and birdfeeders, stay calm with a yoga class, learn the best tips for gardening or design pressed florals. There is sure to be something for anyone and all ages.
