Oklahoma City’s Boathouse District has so much to offer residents and tourists alike. Whether you prefer a calm, relaxing boat ride or want to do something with your furkids, the district has much to offer this July.
Oklahoma River Cruises
Ferry rides offered by Oklahoma River Cruises give you a chance to wind down and take in the sights as you set off from your choice of five landings. Some rides make roundtrips, some don’t, but they’re all a fun way to experience and travel through OKC.
The cruise service also offers specialty cruises, such as Cocktail Cruises which allows guests 21 and older to enjoy libations from the ferry bar during the 90-minute roundtrip adventure. Cocktail Cruises are offered Fridays and Saturdays through September.
Visit Oklahoma River Cruises’ website for more on routes, pricing and more.
RIVERSPORT OKC
If great music, food and relaxation is your idea of a good time, then consider these events at RIVERSPORT OKC.
The popular adventure destination continues its Summer Music Series with free live music every Saturday afternoon. Food, beer and other drinks will be available thanks to Big Water Grill as guests lounge along the shores of the Oklahoma River.
Here’s July’s schedule:

BAR K
Summer outings are great for the whole family — even the four-legged members.
The month's final Trivia Tuesday is 7 to 9 p.m. July 18. You and up to five (human) friends can test your knowledge against others while your pups lounge and have a good time getting pats.
The next Bar K Running Club event is 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19. You and your dog can run the 5K course along the Oklahoma River and Bricktown Canal, all without crossing a street! And, if your dog is more of a couch potato, they can hang out at Bar K while you take your trot.
One of Bar K’s cutest events is Puppies’ Night Out, which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 20. If you have a pooch between three and nine months old, and could use some healthy socialization, then this event is for you.
Bar K Members are free to enter each event. Nonmembers must pay $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the pack.
