The Oklahoma City Museum of Art opened two new exhibits this last weekend and you’ll want to add them to your summer bucket list. “Paul Reed: Works on Paper” features 125 paintings, sculptures and works on paper from abstract artist Paul Reed. Reed is one of the original six Washington Color Painters, who were a group of abstract artists experimenting with painting techniques in the 1960s. The exhibition will be on display until Jan. 31, 2024.
The second new exhibition at OKCMOA is “True Nature: Rodin and the Age of Impressionism.” This celebration of artist Auguste Rodin includes 100 pieces made up of his sculptures, paintings, prints and photographs. This exhibition is only on display until Oct. 22, so don’t wait to visit.
The OKCMOA is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information on admission tickets and other exhibits on display, visit the OKCMOA website.
