Of course, we are a little biased around BetterLife HQ but we think the best way to get instantly connected in Oklahoma City is to attend events put on by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. At each Chamber event, you will get a chance to network with peers from all around central Oklahoma while also learning about key issues facing our region in a variety of topics. Most Chamber events are open to members and nonmembers alike (although we think joining is a great value). See what is on tap for March:
- State Spotlight – March 10 from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at Oklahoma Christian University; During the State Spotlight, Governor Kevin Stitt will give an overview of his priorities for the 2023 legislative session. The event will also include a discussion moderated by Chamber Vice Chair of Economic Development Kent Shortridge with Secretary of Science and Innovation Elizabeth Pollard and Oklahoma Department of Commerce Executive Director Brent Kisling, where they will discuss business development, commerce, workforce and entrepreneurship in central Oklahoma.
- Chamber Forum – March 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Petroleum Club; Attendees at the March Chamber Forum will hear about the positive impacts of ACCESS Oklahoma (Advancing and Connecting Communities and Economies Safely Statewide). This $5 billion, 15-year long-range plan identifies and addresses ongoing highway infrastructure needs to improve access to communities across the Oklahoma turnpike network.
