If you are looking to spend one Thursday out of the month trying something completely different and perhaps a little bit out of your comfort zone, Oklahoma City’s Factory Obscura may be just the right ticket for you.
Factory Obscura, which describes itself as a “Oklahoma City-based collaborative company creating immersive experiences that awaken wonder, build community, and make the world better,” will host its Adult Night at Mix-Tape on Feb. 16 from 7 to 10 p.m. so grown-ups can have a little extra time to enjoy the experience. Adult Night occurs every third Thursday of every month for visitors 18 and over.
Whether you are spending the evening with a bunch of friends or sharing the experience with a date, or maybe you just want to have some me time, Adult Night at Mix-Tape is a perfect little excursion to explore, hangout or just simply to relax. Listen to the mixed beats of OKC-based DJ Kora Waves on the Wonder Stage from 7:30 to 9:15 as she blends tracks such as deep house, electric soul, future beats and modern-day flips. But first make sure you pick up Factory Obscura’s LOVE-themed scavenger hunt from the box office to win a prize!
General admission into Adult Night at Mix-Tape is $22; however, if you are a Mix-Tape Member, your entry is absolutely free! You can even enhance your Mix-Tape experience by purchasing light diffraction glasses for as little as 92 cents. Visit factoryobscura.com for more details.
Founded in 2017 and located at 25 NW 9th St. in Automobile Alley, Factory Obscura supports an array of artists, thinkers, creators, inventors and makers while developing an economic system that employs them at sustainable, thriving wages and allows them the freedom to create.
