The year will soon come to an end, and that calls for celebration. Whether celebrating the accomplishments of 2022, or the potential of 2023, Oklahoma City has a place for you to gather with others and rejoice.
Kicking off earlier in the day is the Noon Year’s Eve party at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, sponsored by MetroFamily Magazine. Held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., this family-friendly get-together includes a special balloon drop, refreshments, activities and more as participants join to count down to 12 o’clock – noon, that is – on Dec. 31.
Oklahoma City’s largest family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration, Opening Night, will be held later that evening at Bicentennial Park. Beginning at 7 p.m., locals and visitors alike will gather for the Arts Council Oklahoma City-produced event, featuring live performances, food trucks, fireworks and a final countdown to the ascent of the Rising Ball.
Not far from the park, a separate adults-only NYE celebration will be held at Black Walnut in Deep Deuce. An annual event, this year’s Black Walnut NYE event will incorporate the restaurant’s new private lounge and debut a new cocktail menu for the new year. Complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres are included with the purchase of a ticket. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
North of downtown, along Northwest 23rd Street, Tower Theatre will host its annual Uptown Get Down NYE party. This adults-only, psychedelic-themed event offers attendees their choice of tickets, ranging from free for those willing to wait in line to $125 for a premium table of four. The event will include live performances, DJs, refreshments, giveaways and more.
Plan for your last night of the year to be a celebration with an array of choices in Oklahoma City.
