It’s the most wonderful time of the year and with it comes holiday parties, gift exchanges and lots of opportunities to get into the Christmas spirit with the Downtown in December events, many of which are free. Downtown in December presented by Devon began in 2002 with only a handful of activities and now includes more than 30 events and attractions.
From enjoying the Lights on Broadway on Dec. 10 to the Holiday Pop-ups in Midtown to RIVERSPORT’s Winter Glow events, there’s something for all ages. The OKC Streetcar is also offering free rides every weekend until Jan. 1 so you can park and easily travel around downtown.
The Devon Ice Rink has become a yearly tradition at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, and you won’t want to miss it this year. While you’re there, you can visit the newly remodeled Crystal Bridge Conservatory and take a walk through the light displays outside.
Factory Obscura’s Annual March of the Trees, Scissortail Lights Chanukah Celebration and Arts Councils OKC’s Opening Night are all happening in December as well. With so many great events and activities, the kids and in-laws will have plenty to keep them busy.
