The holiday season is full of fun celebrations surrounding Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s. However, one holiday you won’t want to miss out on this year is Hanukkah. Here are some events Oklahoma City has scheduled to commemorate the Jewish holiday.
Scissortail Chanukah Festival – The Chabad Community Center and Scissortail Park will host this festival that includes a giant menorah lighting by Mayor David Holt, live music, kosher fair food and booths of carnival entertainment on Dec. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Temple B’nai Israel Hanukkah Celebration – Credited as the oldest active synagogue in Oklahoma, Temple B’nai Israel will host its Hanukkah celebration on Dec. 18 from 3 to 5:10 p.m. The event will include fresh latkes, jelly donuts, fun and games for everyone.
