There seems to be something new at the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber every month, and November is no different. Ranging from national and local economic outlooks to gaining a better understanding of Oklahoma City’s bioscience sector, or campaigning to keep the city’s school district one of the most competitive, the Chamber is a top resource for getting more information on our city’s continued growth.
Here is a list of upcoming Chamber-related events to keep an eye on in November:
Oklahoma City Public Schools bond issue – On Tuesday, Nov. 8, Oklahoma will hold general elections featuring a school bond issue supported by the Chamber. The bond issue will invest more than $900 million into the district, providing needed resources and repairs to every Oklahoma City Public Schools district elementary, middle school and high school. State of the Economy – The Chamber will host the 2022 State of the Economy on Nov. 9 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The event will include national economist and Chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, Anirban Basu, as its keynote speaker. The event will focus on trends in local and national economies, and major factors in both. A panel discussion of local economists will be included, as well. November Chamber Forum – The Chamber’s monthly forum returns on Nov. 16 with the future of Oklahoma City’s bioscience sector as the focus. The event will highlight initiatives linked to the city’s bio-industries, including the Oklahoma Biotech Innovation Cluster’s recent $35 million award from the U.S. Economic Development Administration through its nationwide Build Back Better Regional Challenge.
