The summer heat is giving way to a cool, crisp fall and there’s no better time to enjoy all the activities RIVERSPORT OKC offers before winter arrives. There are plenty of opportunities to get outside on Oklahoma City’s river and area lakes with events and classes scheduled throughout the month.
Saturdays during the month are packed with classes and excursions. Depending on if you’re more of an early bird or night owl, you can join the Sunrise Kayak Experience on Oct. 15 in the Boathouse District or the Sunset Kayak Experience on Oct. 8 at Lake Overholser.
If you want to learn how to ski or brush up on your technique, classes are offered every Sunday throughout the month on RIVERSPORT’s Ski OKC alpine ski simulator. You’ll be ready to hit the slopes as soon as skiing season begins.
RIVERSPORT enthusiasts who have completed the intermediate rowing class can take advantage of the open rowing times Monday through Thursday from 6-8 p.m. each week.
There’s always something fun and exciting to do with RIVERSPORT OKC, and you can keep up to date with all the activities on their website, riversportokc.org.
