No matter where you want to go or how you’d like to fly, Oklahoma City has great options to get you to your desired destination. With three airports to choose from, travelers have the choice to fly commercially or privately with several carriers and operators. Read below for more on each of OKC’s three airports.
Will Rogers World Airport
Named after the world’s first frequent flyer, Will Rogers World Airport has eight carriers to choose from and averages a total of 72 departures per day. Nonstop flights are available to 25 airports across the country and while you wait, you can enjoy a snack at The Grill at OKC, Tropical Smoothie Café or Starbucks. With the first phase of renovations completed earlier this year, Will Rogers World Airport now has a public observation deck to comfortably watch flights come and go, and it’s also ready to welcome international flights in the future. Wiley Post Airport
Although Wiley Post lost an eye in a work-related accident, he didn’t let that deter him from his dream of becoming a pilot, owning his very own plane and earning numerous accolades throughout his record-breaking career. Named after the famous aviator and designed as a reliever for Will Rogers World Airport, Wiley Post Airport has two parallel runways and more than 30 companies that have made it their home. Those companies include three aircraft charter companies and two fixed-based operators (FBOs) that offer amenities for pilots, visitors and corporate flight departments. C.E. Page Airport
After witnessing the first airplane flight in Oklahoma City, Clarence Edgar Page fell in love with flying and served as a pilot in World War I. During WWII, Page operated a flight school and trained hundreds of pilots for the war effort at the airport now named after him. C.E. Page Airport has two paved runways and is equipped with an Automated Weather Observation System. The airport’s FBO provides both aviation gasoline and jet fuel. Nearly 100 aircraft are housed at the airport, including medium-size business jets, turbo props, single-engine trainers, ultralights and experimental aircraft.
