Paseo Arts Festival returns for a weekend worthwhile

Looking for the place to be in OKC? The Paseo Arts Festival returns to Memorial Day weekend for the 45th annual event.

The event is set for May 28, 29, and 30 in the historic Paseo Arts District of Oklahoma City. Nestled between Interstate 235 and Classen Boulevard, this historic neighborhood district is a center for visual and culinary arts. This three-day festival brings in up to 60,000 people each year. 

As the largest annual fundraiser for the Paseo Arts Association, the event helps support art programs and events in the district, year-round.

Almost 100 nationally acclaimed visual artists, more than 50 musicians, and 20 food and drink vendors will bring the area to life during this three-day festival.

Originally developed in 1929, the district still features the same Spanish-inspired, stucco buildings as when it was first born. Beginning as the first commercial shopping district north of downtown, the district transformed into a counterculture hotspot in the 60s and 70s, before becoming the art community epicenter it is today.

Home to art galleries, studios, and restaurants; the district provides surrounding residents with a quick trip to entertainment, whether walking, biking, or driving.
