Wheeler Criterium is back in its spring cycle, with races every Tuesday night in Oklahoma City. The cycling festival takes off in the Wheeler District, in front of The Big Friendly Brewery & Taproom at 5:30 p.m. each week.
Racers circle one of Oklahoma City’s newest neighborhoods – known for its bright, multi-colored homes – as the sun sets and spectators line the streets to watch the closed-course circuit.
The free event, just south of downtown, brings in some of the city’s top cyclists, accompanied by food trucks and live music to enjoy during the downtime.
Whether you’re looking to get involved, or just want to witness it all, check out Wheeler Criterium to add some excitement to your weekdays.
Weekly races continue through the summer into fall, every Tuesday night through September 20th, providing plenty of time for those looking to fit it into their schedule.
