It’s a bit of an Adventure District theme on the blog this week, so we’ll start out with an adventure you can take as part of an African Safari trip with the OKC Zoo. Come along with members of the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden on a 10-night safari through Tanzania with an optional 3-night extension in Rwanda where you can experience a wildlife migration and conservation safari, and a trek through the mountains to see gorillas, respectively. The total group size is limited to 16 guests, so check it out – the original trip sold out, so a second trip from June 7 through 17 has been added. Get more information at okczoo.com/safari!
Now if that’s a little too much adventure for you, that’s OK. Just the regular adventure level of the zoo is plenty for most. The OKC Zoo has all kinds of great exhibits and features like Great EscApe, Cat Forest/Lion Overlook, Oklahoma Trails and Sanctuary Asia, in addition to events and opportunities like Flamingo Mingle, camel rides, the Elephant Express train, giraffe and rhino feedings and more. You can also check out one of the OKC Zoo’s newest members – Rama, a male Asian elephant born on Jan. 20! Find out more information about visiting the zoo at https://www.okczoo.org/tickets.
