Fan of road trips? Ever wonder what the road looked like in the past? You can pack more than 100 pounds of memories back to your wagon by visiting the "Mother Roads” exhibition at OKC’s National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum through May 1. Speaking of adventures, this exhibit explores “how people got from A to B in the West, with all the stops in between. From families packing their wagons before setting out on the Oregon Trail to tourists stopping to explore roadside America while driving Route 66, Mother Roads helps you see the West from the open road.” Also until May 1, the “Santa Fe Trail” exhibition helps tell the story of this important route. Those exhibitions and more, like one on tattooing and exploring the artistic process, are on until May 1 and Feb. 27, respectively. It’s a great time to ford that river (it’s only 1.5 feet deep) and visit “The Cowboy!”
