If you missed Friday’s Enlighten event, you have some time to make up for it by signing up for one, two, or three additional events the Chamber will be hosting towards the end of the month.
October 20 – Chamber Forum
The October Chamber Forum will focus on what's next from the Regional Transit Authority of Central Oklahoma, the organization responsible for creating a coordinated regional transit plan for its six member cities. Attendees will learn about the vision for our region's transportation policies, investments, and projects from panelists Jason Ferbrache from the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority along with former Gov. Brad Henry and Marion Hutchison representing the Regional Transportation Authority.
Doors open at 11 a.m., and the program begins at 11:30 a.m. at VAST.
October 22 – Navy Birthday Ball
For those who want to get fancy, enjoy a black-tie evening honoring the men and women of the U.S. Navy for the 246th Navy Birthday Ball. The evening will be marked by special Navy traditions, including the annual cake-cutting ceremony.
Reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.
October 26 – Chamber Connection
Join this event to learn more about the benefits of a company's investment in the Chamber. It’s a great opportunity to network with other Chamber members and to learn about the Chamber’s economic development efforts, government relations activities, community improvement programs and involvement opportunities.
8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., Location TBD
Things will continue picking up throughout the fall, so make sure to hold space on your calendar for November’s events. Three of the largest events the Chamber holds each year: State of the City on Nov. 1, State of the Economy on Nov. 18 and the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Dec. 3.
The State of the City and the Chamber’s Annual Meeting will both be held inside the new Oklahoma City Convention Center, while the State of the Economy will be at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Individual tickets to these annual events range anywhere from $50 to $125, depending on the event and whether you or your company is a Chamber member.
