Softball lovers and fans flock to Oklahoma City regularly to enjoy games and explore the history of the sport. ESPN calls Oklahoma City “the center of the softball universe,” others call it the “Softball Capital of the World,” and residents of our city proudly support the softball community.
The USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex has four fields, world-class amenities, and is home to the National Softball Hall of Fame Museum. The complex has hosted some of the best softball competitions in the world over the past 40 years. Since it was built in 1987, it has welcomed the NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS), the World Cup of Softball, Border Battle, the USA Softball 18U GOLD National Championship and the USA Softball Slow Pitch Championship Series.
Each year since 1990, athletes and more than 70,000 spectators have traveled from all over the nation for the NCAA Women’s College World Series. Oklahoma City will be the host of the NCAA WCWS until at least 2035, and this year’s event will happen on June 3-9. Tickets are on sale now from the NCAA website.
The first game will kick off at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3. Four games will be played on the opening day. Championship Finals Games 1 and 2 will happen on June 7 and June 8 at 6:30 p.m.and a third Championship Finals Game will happen on June 9 at 6 p.m., if needed. If you plan on attending this year’s games, be sure to follow the new clear bag policy. Backpacks, large purses, camera bags, fanny packs, and other larger bags will not be allowed into the events to ensure the safety of all present. Purses 4.5”x6.5” and smaller will be allowed in addition to clear plastic bags and gallon-sized plastic bags to hold your essentials.
Make sure you have your mobile ticket ready before arriving at each event and follow all of the fan code of conduct guidelines suggested by the NCAA.
