The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber offers a variety of events for individuals who come from a variety of sectors and levels of experience. Throughout this month, we’re looking forward to offering five unique events to support business and opportunity for our community.
Chamber Connection – May 4th
Our first event of the month is happening today, May 4th from 1:00-2:30 PM. It’s a Chamber-specific event, which happens on a regular basis in order to educate members (or those who are thinking of becoming members) about the Chamber’s key initiatives.
Additionally, attendees have an opportunity to meet other members of the business community as we work together to support our city’s economic development efforts, government relations activities, community improvement programs and involvement opportunities.
Registration info can be found here.
Enlighten: Tips for reopening after COVID-19 – May 7th
Our second event of the month will happen on Friday, May 7th from 11:45 AM-1:00 PM. This event is offered monthly and is always free. For anyone who wants to boost their business performance, Enlighten events provide networking and practical resources to make it happen.
This month’s event will highlight important information for businesses beginning to reopen after a year of COVID-19 precautions. Speakers will share the reopening plans for their companies and discuss best practices and lessons learned when developing these plans. The webinar will also highlight the aspects of the American Rescue Plan that will benefit businesses.
Speakers Vic Albert, Barb Denny, John Veal and Bev Wood, will share their expertise as leaders from prominent organizations around our city. Learn more and register for the event here.
State of Health – May 12th
On May 12th from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM, two panel discussions and keynote speaker, Robin Farmanfarmaian, will bring you the latest information on the healthcare sector in Oklahoma City. With this event, you’ll learn from hospital leaders and scientists about the impact of COVID-19 on the healthcare sector and what we should anticipate as we move forward.
Healthcare in Oklahoma City creates 76,000 jobs, which is a significant portion of our workforce. It’s a strong and growing sector. You can learn more about the event and find the registration link here.
Chamber Forum – May 19th
On a monthly basis, we host a forum to bring you the biggest updates when it comes to initiatives, successes, challenges, and opportunities for business in OKC. This month’s forum will focus on the economic development strategies of tribal nations and their impact on the state of Oklahoma.
From 11:45 AM-1:00 PM, there will be a session for small group networking, followed by the full program. Jim Collard from the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and Jonna Kirschner from Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. will serve on the panel, sharing their meaningful perspective on the topic.
