2020 brought challenges to many in-person events including the annual OKC Memorial Marathon. The run was held virtually last year, but in 2021, runners will be together the weekend of October 2-3.
The date isn’t the only thing that’s changed for the marathon--race weekend is changing, too. Races will be split between Saturday and Sunday offering participants the opportunity to be a part of the new Why We Run Weekend Series.
Participants in the series will run the 5K on Saturday and the Full or Half Marathon on Sunday. In addition to the event shirt and medal for both races, runners will receive a Why We Run Series medal and shirt.
