The City of Oklahoma City and its citizens invest heavily in street maintenance and repair. Back in 2017, the citizens of Oklahoma City approved the Better Streets, Safer City initiative that dedicated more than $800 million to street improvement throughout the city (pro tip: you can see the current status of street repair projects related to the initiative here). However, as dedicated as the city is to keeping up with street repairs, when you have 620 square miles to cover, fixing potholes can feel like playing a game of whack-a-mole.
Luckily, for those of us who rely on city streets every day, Oklahoma City has made it extremely easy to report that pesky pothole:
- Submit your report directly on the pothole reporting web portal.
- Call the Action Center at (405) 297-2535.
- Email the action center at [email protected].
- Text your report to (405) 252-1053.
- Download the OKC Connect app and submit a report using your smartphone.
- Let the folks at the city know through Twitter at @okcaction.com.
As you can see, unless you are still relying on that old fax machine, the City of Oklahoma City has an easy and convenient way for you to report unsafe street conditions.
