“Old Town Road” may be stuck in your head (well, it is now) and we don’t blame you if you’re still celebrating the U.S. Women’s National Team winning the FIFA World Cup. But there was plenty of exciting things that happened back home in 2019.
For example, the VeloCityOKC website celebrated its one-year anniversary in July. The VeloCity staff took the time to look back at its favorite stories from the past year and recapped what they liked about those stories. Be sure to give it a read so you can see what stories you might have missed in 2018, especially if you hadn’t moved to OKC yet.
If you’re into podcasts, be sure to check out the AudaCity podcast, brought to you by your favorite in-the-know team from VeloCity. In its first eight episodes, hosts Nathan Fisher and Kaylee Terracina interviewed Mayor David Holt, Tower Theatre co-operator Chad Whithead and discussed all the up-and-coming events in the city. Don’t forget to subscribe on YouTube, Apple Podcasts or your podcast app of choice.
But those were just some of the big things we did. There was plenty more that happened in the city, from the opening of Scissortail Park to the passing of MAPS 4. We compiled a list of our most-read VeloCity stories, so be sure to check it out and recap the amazing year we had.
Oh and if getting ready for the holidays meant you missed reading VeloCity on the regular, we’ve recapped all the top December stories as well. Did you make it to snow tubing? Looks like people were excited to see it back at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
