It might be hard to believe but we are less than a month away from the Thunder taking the court to start the 2019-2020 season. That is right, the Thunder play their first preseason game Oct. 8 against the Dallas Mavericks in Tulsa. The regular season starts Oct. 23 when the Thunder take on Western Conference-foe the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.
It was a busy offseason as the Thunder bid farewell to franchise-icon Russell Westbrook and All-Star NBA player Paul George. Just because the Thunder are in a transitional phase, don’t think there aren’t plenty of great and exciting players worth watching. Besides returning players like Steve Adams, the Thunder acquired future Hall-of-Famer Chris Paul. Paul, the nine-time all-star, actually began his career in Oklahoma City with the Hornets. The Thunder also acquired Danilo Gallinari, the leading scorer for the Clippers last season, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, an exciting young player who made the NBA’s All-Rookie Second team last season.
