Throughout history, beer has been used as medicine, to pay taxes and even for nutrition, among other things (even though that rumor you heard that people in the middle ages drank beer instead of water all the time just isn't true). And Oklahomies seem to be enjoying more beer these days. According to the American Community Survey folks at the Census Bureau, the number of breweries in Oklahoma increased 275% from 2012 to 2016. In honor of the "oldest recorded recipe in the world" and everyone's favorite fermentable, we thought we'd take the opportunity to recommend a few Chamber members that know how to make and proffer the good stuff.
