The arts scene in Oklahoma City is healthy, flourishing and full of surprises. You can’t go wrong with the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, which houses several great pieces of work in its permanent collection (perhaps most well-known among them being a dazzling collection of Dale Chihuly glass works) as well as countless traveling exhibitions that have attracted visitors from states away. The Paseo District is home to countless local artists and their galleries—in fact, there’s a yearly Arts Festival at Paseo that’s happening at the end of May. The art on display at the 21c Museum Hotel is popular, too, as is at Oklahoma Contemporary (and we can't wait for their new facility to open). The most recent addition to OKC’s booming arts scene is Factory Obscura, a “contemporary arts juggernaut” that specializes in art experiences like its newest one, Mix Tape. And between visits to these, locals can see countless murals sprinkled generously throughout the metro. We hope you like art as much as we do!
