When moving to a new city, we know how important a role education plays when choosing where to live. Luckily for Oklahoma City, there are excellent public schools throughout Greater Oklahoma City. There are more than 271,000 students enrolled in public schools in the 10-county region and more than 50 schools in the region hold National Blue Ribbon distinction. Read a complete list of public school districts at abetterlifeokc.com.

Charter schools are public schools established by contract with sponsors and often promote a specific curriculum and learning style. Several Greater Oklahoma City school districts have authorized charter schools – Choctaw-Nicoma Park, Edmond, Mid-Del, Moore, Mustang, Oklahoma City and Putnam City. View a list of area charter schools.
