Here at Better Life HQ, we love to brag about Oklahoma City’s low cost of living. When your dollar stretches just a little bit further it is much easier to stop to smell the roses (or buy Thunder tickets). However, that doesn’t mean we are opposed to saving a few bucks when we can. The good news is that in OKC there is plenty to do for the low, low price of free. Below are some of our favorite things to do for free in OKC:
- Horse Shows at State Fair Park Arena
Oklahoma City is home to more national and international equine championship events than any other city in the world and most don’t charge admission. You have the chance to experience two very different shows in October, with the Grand National Morgan Horse Show and the US Team Roping Championships. - The 45th Infantry Division Museum
Dedicated to the military history of Oklahoma and the 45th Infantry Division, this museum is a must for any history buff. It includes the country’s third-largest collection of historic U.S. military firearms and the world’s largest collection of items once owned by Adolf Hitler. Donations are accepted and appreciated. - Oklahoma City Outdoor Symbolic Memorial
The memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers and all who were changed forever by the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
