Some might call the Skirvin’s Artist in Residence a hidden gem in Oklahoma City. As part of the program, the Skirvin offers its one-of-a-kind studio space to world-class artists. The unique program gives visitors a chance to interact with the artist and get a first-hand look at their process.
The current artist-in-residence will be Marissa Raglin. Raglin is a local visual artist who works in collage and resin. As the 2017-18 Skirvin Hilton Artist in Residence, Raglin will create a new body of collage work. Raglin will also help guests make their own postcards using vintage pictures.
The opening reception happens tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include free drinks and snacks. The opening reception will also coincide with the lighting of the Skirvin’s holiday tree. Don’t worry if you can’t make tonight’s reception because Raglin will be exhibiting at the Skirvin until next September.
