When you hear the word ‘Western,’ the image that comes to mind may be that of an old black and white, gun toting, horseback riding western film. Or, if you’re an OKCitian who knows their way around, you probably imagine food, retail and a fun-filled day in a certain section of town.
Ranging from contemporary to classic, the Western Avenue district has a little something for everyone. Classen Curve, located at the northern edge of the Western Avenue district, contains some of OKC’s most fashionable shops, including national retailers like Lululemon Athletica, Anthropologie, Cos Bar, Kendra Scott and West Elm. If local retail is more your style, Balliets, Bebe’s, CK & Co., On a Whim, Red Coyote Running and Fitness and Liberté are a few great options. The momentum at Classen Curve is not slowing down as retailers like Athleta, Bassett Furniture and Francesca’s have stores opening soon.
Foodies will also take heart in the number of restaurant options throughout the district, from upscale options like West to fast-casual concepts like All About Cha, The Wedge, Sushi Neko, Musashi’s, The Drum Room, Tucker’s Onion Burgers, and Café 501. There’s plenty to see and do on Western Avenue, so go out and explore all there is to offer like you’re John Wayne on horseback riding feverishly into the Oklahoma sunset.
