One of the coolest things to come out of the success of the deadCenter Film Festival (in our humble opinions) is the organization expanding their role to be more than a film festival. deadCenter now works year-round to provide film education all over our great state.
deadCenter offers a variety of education initiatives including film classes, workshops, speaking engagements and more to high schools, colleges and technology centers. The aim is to use movie-making as a way to foster creativity, collaboration and confidence in our state’s students.
deadCenter University is a great opportunity for local high school students to learn from experienced Hollywood pros. Each June the program is offered to 60 students during the festival and they get a chance to meet with filmmakers and participate in panels.
Visit the deadCenter website for more on the amazing educational opportunities the festival provides.
