Itching to saddle up and experience our Western heritage for yourself? Civic leaders and community officials recently announced plans for an equestrian park on the Oklahoma River that will give you the opportunity to do just that. The park, on the Oklahoma River’s south bank, is just east of Exchange Ave. adjacent to Stockyards City. When it is complete, it will include a visitor center, a corral, an exercise area, open and covered outdoor arenas, and a riding stable that will be open to the public.
But you don’t have to wait to enjoy it (as long as you own a horse, that is)! The first phase of the development is open for visitors, with 20 acres and a 0.6 mile looped trail. Go ahead and hit the trail, pardner!
