If all this basketball talk makes you remember the days when you were runnin’ and gunnin’, throwin’ down dunks and droppin’ sick dimes, you’re in luck. You can easily recapture the remembered form of your youth (OK, that’s absolutely not true, but you can still have fun, and isn’t that what it’s all about?) by playing some pickup ball down at the Downtown Community Basketball Court. The blacktop at the corner of Reno and Hudson is waiting to make those hoop dreams a reality, so put on your goofiest shorts, throw on a tie-dyed hat, and lace (and pump!) up those Air Command Force high-tops because it’s going down downtown, regardless of whether or not you can jump.
