A new addition to the metro’s landscape this year is the Oklahoma City Blue. After residing in Tulsa since 2005, the Thunder’s D-League affiliate will play this season in OKC at the Cox Convention Center.
Not familiar with the D-League? Here is a quick primer. The D-League is short for the NBA Development League, an 18-team league that serves as a development league for the NBA. The Blue are owned by their parent team, the Thunder, and serves as a place where young players can develop. So in short the Blue will offer a great chance to preview the NBA’s up-and-coming players. Not a bad way for hoops junkies to spend a night.
