If you are more of a spectator when it comes to sports, the Boathouse District is hosting two upcoming festivals that will give you a peek into the world of competitive river sports.

The 2014 USA Canoe/Kayak Canoe Marathon National Championships will be held on the Oklahoma River on June 21-22 and the SandRidge Energy Stars & Stripes River Festival takes place on June 28. Both festivals are free to the public, and the Stars & Stripes River Festival will feature live music, and free family festival and a fireworks show following the masters racing and corporate rowing.
