Let’s say one day you’re looking for the right turmeric to add to your favorite Indian curry dish or coconut milk to make Thai curry. Or, on another night, when you’re in the mood to serve Mexican food at a party, you want to find churros for a dessert as a mariachi band plays.
In either case, whether your cooking tends toward Asian, Latin, Indian or Mediterranean flavors, you can probably find your ingredients at Oklahoma markets and grocery stores that specialize in international cuisine. And if you’re willing to go a little farther, outside the metropolitan area, there’s even a unique Italian grocery store in southeast Oklahoma with a lot of history.
