Oklahoma City is known for many things: Thunder basketball, the Flaming Lips and Bricktown just to name a few. If two local distilleries have their way one more thing will be added to that list: high-quality spirits.
Not even a year old yet, Prairie Wolf Spirits is located just outside of Oklahoma City in Guthrie. The family-run business distills Prairie Wind Vodka.
On the other side of the metro in Moore, Twister Distillery is doing its part to enhance the state’s spirit reputation. The distillery produces Twister Vodka, Oklahoma Land Rum and Twister Sweet Tea Vodka with plans to add more to its collection in the coming years. Twister prides itself on using nothing but Oklahoma ingredients in its spirits.
Look for both in most liquor stores around the metro (and even some restaurants).
