A few weeks back, we told you about the transformation that’s taken place at the Oklahoma River, changing a mostly-dry drainage ditch into a sparkling waterway that’s the envy of other cities and the premier training spot for flatwater sport Olympic athletes.
Each year, the Boathouse District hosts an annual Holiday River Parade. This year marks the ninth year for such a tradition, but seeing as it’s the 20th anniversary of MAPS, they’ve got something extra special planned. Grab a thermos full of hot cocoa and head down to the Oklahoma River this Friday, Nov. 29, so you don’t miss out on any of the festivities. Click here to see a schedule of all the great events taking place that day.
